The project started with a seven-year-old game idea, scribbled down in the notes app. Now, the game Oopsie has been launched and is available in stores, published by the newly founded indie publisher Oopsie AS.
About the game
Oopsie is a party game for 2-8 players. It’s quick to learn but just as quick to mess up. Each player draws their own bizarre rules, which lead everyone to act ridiculously. Remember your own rules and pay close attention. The aim is to be the first to catch others when they make mistakes. Can you keep up?
The game is a liberating icebreaker that lets adults loosen up, be playful, and act silly. While players get a workout for their laugh muscles, their focus, memory, observation, and multitasking skills are also put to the test. This game might make you and your friends look stupid — but it actually serves as great brain exercise!

Launched and in stores
Oopsie AS is run by Carina Hegreberg, the creator of the game. Carina is an art director and the game, its concept, and its website are all designed by her. In December 2023, Carina was awarded a grant by the organization Grafill, which annually provides funding for projects by designers and illustrators. This financial support has contributed to making the project a reality.
The launch of Oopsie took place on November 7, 2024, and was celebrated with a launch party at Spilloteket in Oslo. As of now, the game is available in three retail chains in Norway: Platekompaniet, Outland, and Norli. The next goal is to find a distribution partner and bring Oopsie to the world.
